Are the coops foxproof (and dog proof)?

That is what they were designed for. They are designed to keep the chooks safe from foxes at night and the original prototype was tested with a Rottweiler. The chooks are meant to free range during the day with the door open so they can come and go, so the only protection they provide during the day is from the weather.

Being foxproof is essential in a coop, don’t buy one that hasn’t got a mesh floor because it is very upsetting to arrive in the morning to find feathers everywhere and dead chooks courtesy of Mr Fox.

If you think of Mr Fox being a determined, intelligent, aggressive predator that wants to eat your pets, you are on the right track. Foxes are everywhere trust me. See the articles about urban foxes in the media section of the website.
